Clean & Clear has kicked off a new short-film campaign called "See the Real Me" that doesn't mention acne and focuses instead on confidence and young women who defy expectations. One video follows Emma, who wants to be a ballerina but struggles to fit in because she's taller and has "very, very crazy" hair. Videos touch on the "paradox" of teens who "want to be seen, but they're afraid of being judged," said Jeff Smith, Johnson & Johnson's president of U.S. skin care.
