Facebook reportedly is paying $60 million to acquire Titan Aerospace, which makes high-altitude drone aircraft that are solar-powered and can stay in the air for five years at a time. The technology could allow Facebook to offer wireless Internet service for potential customers in far-flung areas. "That could prove to be an enormous boon for remote areas of Africa and Asia, where Facebook's 'next billion' live," Adam Pasick writes.
