Fiksu has introduced indexes that show developers often must spend quite a bit of money to market their mobile applications to make a profit, a trend that will eventually drive many of them out of business. The most recent Cost Per Install index shows a narrowing of the gap between the cost of selling Android and iOS apps. The Cost Per App Launch index tracks the cost of marketing and the resulting engagement from users.
