Montana's obesity rate of 19.6% was the lowest in the U.S. last year, and Mississippi's rate of 35.4% was the highest, Gallup data indicate. Researchers found that 11 states had adult-obesity rates of at least 30%, up from five states in 2012. Obesity rates remained highest in Southern and Midwestern states and lowest in Western and Northeastern states, researchers said.
