Republican David Jolly of Florida narrowly beat Democrat Alex Sink on Tuesday in a special election that had widely been seen as an early test of voters' attitudes toward the Affordable Care Act. Both parties spent heavily and sent political heavyweights to the Tampa district in the run-up to the election; still, Jolly said he was eager to patch things up with the district's Democrats. "This race is not about defending a broken agenda in Washington or advancing a broken agenda in Washington. This race is about serving the people in our own community," he said.
