An analysis suggests that the proportion of the electorate that identifies as Latino will increase 2 percentage points in the key swing states of Florida, Nevada and Colorado, as well as in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, by Election Day 2016. "This underscores the critical importance for Republican candidates to do better among nonwhite Americans, particularly among Hispanics, if Republicans ever hope to elect another president," says GOP pollster Whit Ayres.
