Two colleges in Massachusetts will use $1 million dollars in state funding to boost their life sciences programs. The funds are aimed at addressing growing job demands in fields such as biomedical engineering and biotechnology. Mount Wachusett Community College plans to use its funds to upgrade science facilities, improve new science degree programs and provide students more real-world learning experiences. Quinsigamond Community College plans to use the state dollars to furnish and equip its science and engineering facilities, while expanding science course offerings to students.
