Asparagus from U.K. growers will hit supermarket shelves earlier than usual this spring, after a winter with little snow and a rise in cold-resistant varieties grown with new farming methods. This year our customers will be able to enjoy it even sooner, three weeks earlier than last year," said Louisa Read, vegetable expert at Marks & Spencer.
