Google and Facebook alone accounted for three-quarters of the total growth in last year's mobile ad spending, which more than doubled globally from $8.76 billion in 2012 to $17.96 billion, according to eMarketer. The two companies accounted for two-thirds of total mobile ad spend, a share that is expected to increase this year, with Facebook in particular making further inroads in mobile advertising.
