Shergottite, a type of meteorite found commonly on Earth, may have originated from a crater on Mars, according to a study published in Science Express. Researchers at the University of Oslo in Norway compared the mineral composition of three shergottites with that of Mars' Mojave Crater, located in the Xanthe Terra. If confirmed, their findings could change the perception of when Mars was formed and cooled.
