Samsung Electronics and Vizio together accounted for the majority of Internet-connected television shipments in the U.S. during the fourth quarter, according to Strategy Analytics. Samsung sewed up 29.6% of smart-TV shipments in that period, while Vizio's share was 24.4%, up 1.7% from a year earlier. Sony was the third-largest vendor of smart TVs in the fourth quarter, with a 17.6% share, followed by LG Electronics and Panasonic, the market research firm estimated.
