Sinclair Broadcast Group, which faces a July 27 deadline to close its merger with Allbritton Communications, has offered to amend the terms to conform to the Federal Communications Commission's proposal to limit joint-sales agreements. Under the changes, Sinclair would sell stations in Harrisburg, Pa., Charleston, S.C., and Birmingham, Ala., to different companies, instead of transferring them to holding companies and running them via shared services pacts. It would also stop participating in sharing agreements for two other stations in Harrisburg and Charleston.
