Organizations still aren't doing enough to support female leaders, writes M. Ellen Peebles, but some women are finding ways to get ahead. Women who manage to climb to the top tend to take time to clarify their long-term goals and are willing to accept the consequences of their choices, according to a survey of 60 female executives. In addition, these women often make an effort to help other women reach their potential.
