Neuromuscular-training exercises may help reduce the incidence of anterior cruciate ligament ruptures in the knee, along with the associated costs, according to an analysis by researchers at Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Study author Dr. Eric Swart said training programs are not expensive and include exercises such as jumping, side-to-side shuffling and marching to help wake the brain and nervous systems so the body moves with better coordination.
