A laboratory in West Orange, N.J., was the site for development of many of the technologies -- electric lighting and transmission, sound recording and movies -- that germinated further developments common to our lives today. This was where the legendary Thomas Edison worked, and National Park Service archivist Leonard DeGraff reviews the lab's importance in an ASME video.
