The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert Wednesday for more than 118,000 pounds of processed egg products made by Nutriom. The alert comes after the company would not expand a recall that the USDA issued when Nutriom allegedly falsified the results of laboratory testing for salmonella. The original recall occurred in February and involved more than 226,000 pounds of the processed egg products, which were distributed across the U.S., in Mexico and to domestic and international U.S. military installations.
