Amazon has introduced a streaming Fire TV set-top box that could drive new TV advertising by tying goods purchased to content watched on the home set. The device can stream videos from the Amazon Prime service, which uses the same credentials for shipping products and streaming movies or TV shows. "In theory, Amazon could send targeted ads to each individual household and that's potentially more granular that we have in cable," said Michael Bologna, who runs GroupM's Modi Media.
