Falling off a ladder in the workplace resulted in 113 deaths and about 34,000 emergency department-treated nonfatal injuries in 2011, a CDC report found. The falls caused nearly 15,500 nonfatal injuries that led to at least one day's absence from work, and most of the injuries were preventable and highlight the need for a greater focus on training, researchers said.
