Chemical manufacturers plan to challenge California's decision on the first three consumer products to be regulated under its green-chemistry program. The American Chemistry Council has noted the products are already being "actively evaluated" at the Environmental Protection Agency. "ACC, our member companies and other trade associations have continued to express concerns about whether the program in its current form will achieve the department's longstanding goal of a 'practical, meaningful and legally defensible' regulatory program," ACC said.
