Sales of carrier Ethernet services to business customers will more than double over the next four years, reaching $10 billion by 2018, according to Frost & Sullivan. The report suggests that the growth of the business-class carrier Ethernet sector -- which is dominated by six firms led by AT&T and Verizon -- is being fueled by demand for more scalable and reliable access at a lower cost.
