Other advances in dentistry include digital radiography that involves less radiation than X-rays; CT imaging, which offers an in-depth, 3D image of the mouth and teeth; and dentures made using computer design and digital manufacturing. Though the technology is expensive, it improves efficiency and outcomes, dentists say.
