The ruling follows a contest created by designer Cole Haan that offered a $1,000 prize to a Pinterest follower who pinned Cole Haan shoes using a contest hashtag that did not clarify the cash incentive involved. Cole Haan will not be punished, as the FTC hadn't outlined rules until now.
