Google Glass is being refreshed with Android 4.4 "KitKat," and Google said it is temporarily pausing the wearable computer's capability for video calls. Early adopters, known as Explorers, weren't making much use of video calling, Google said. "Explorers have told us so directly, and fewer than 10% of them use video calls. For this reason, we've made the hard decision to remove video calls from Glass until the experience is better," the Glass group wrote in a blog post. Upgrading from Android 4.0.3 to 4.4 is expected to improve several features for Google Glass.
