It is important that students do not associate standardized testing season with the end of learning for the year, writes Carol Hunter, a retired elementary-school principal and author. In this blog post, she suggests engaging students until the end of the school year by helping them understand that the goal is their "personal academic, social, emotional and physical development," and by continuing to lead students in highly engaging activities, rather than winding down for the year.
