Reddit is making native advertising via promoted posts available on its site, a marked shift for the link-sharing hub that has hesitated to monetize user information and allowed only targeted banner ads in the past. The geo-targeted posts are available on the country and city level and will be clearly marked as advertising. Reddit says it had 5.3 billion page views in March, with 60% of traffic based in the U.S.
