Companies that move IT operations to the cloud face fewer infiltration attempts on their on-premises networks, but that's mostly because cybercriminals are refocusing their efforts and following their targets into the cloud, an Alert Logic report says. Alert Logic looked at 2,212 organizations found that more than 40% of companies reported brute-force attacks or vulnerability scans targeting their cloud hosting provider -- up from about 30% last year.
