A 2012 report by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme on endocrine disruptors "does not provide a balanced perspective, nor does it accurately reflect the state of the science on endocrine disruption," according to a review funded by trade groups including the American Chemistry Council. The WHO/UNEP report, claiming a global rise in disorders due to endocrine disrupting chemicals, does not have a "transparent and systematic framework for identifying, reviewing and evaluating data," said review lead author James Lamb.
