Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, agreed that more women in Congress would mean less gridlock and would likely lead to more accomplishments. The Senators shared the stage at the Women in the World conference in New York City and said that more women need encouragement to run for political office. They are both backers of a bill to raise minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. "We'd be getting things done. If you want to fix Washington, elect more women," said Sen. Gillibrand.
