A study in the journal Bone Marrow Transplantation found that patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who had matched sibling hematopoietic stem cell transplants had outcomes similar to those who had unrelated donor transplants. For both groups, progression-free survival at three years was 35%. Overall survival was 42% for matched-sibling procedures and 37% with unrelated donors.
