Yale School of Medicine researchers have suggested the development of a standardized living liver donor consent form after a review. The study team found that 57% of forms had all nine elements required by the CMS while 78% used at least two-thirds of elements recommended by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, according to the study in the journal Liver Transplantation. Only 17% allowed a general statement that a patient did not meet donation requirements.
