Experienced game developers, those with 11 published games or more, tend to ditch Google for monetization efforts and go with startup video platforms such as AdColony and Vungle, according to a VentureBeat survey of 176 developers. In listing monetization efforts that developers find most frustrating, banner ads were at the top, followed by notification ads and surveys. The most used monetization methods by developers are interstitial ads and freemium in-application purchases, the survey said.
