They may not shop like teens, but U.S. baby boomers and seniors are not averse to turning to their smartphones to help them make buying decisions, according to a survey from the Local Search Association and Thrive Analytics. The research found 69% of those age 54 and older have turned to their handsets to find sales, read reviews and compare prices. That's still far less than the 97% of Gen Y respondents ages 18 to 29.
