Halloren, a German confectioner, reported an increase of 31% for its 2013 sales, hitting $163 million, driven in large part due to exports. CEO Klaus Lelle said he sees exports as the future of the company, which is targeting Asia, specifically Thailand and Korea, as well as North America. The company will invest $7 million to improve production and packaging capacity at its Delitzch, Germany, facility.
