Leo Group, a U.K.-based waste management and recycling company, invested about $419,500 in a wind turbine installed at the company's Omega Proteins facility in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The turbine's output provides electricity for the facility and has reduced 21,500 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions so far. "We are all very excited about the introduction of this green energy supply for our Bradford site and will be closely monitoring the amount of energy it produces. The new wind turbine is an additional way that we are helping to further reduce the company's carbon footprint," said Jane Brindle, group technical manager.
