All of Earth's nearly 200,000 glaciers have been mapped as part of a comprehensive statistical analysis compiled by the Randolph Glacier Inventory in New Hampshire. The study offers insights into the dynamics of glaciers, and scientists can access a computer-readable outline of each one to model their interactions. "This boost to the infrastructure means that people can now do research that they simply couldn't do properly before," said physical geographer Graham Cogley of Trent University.
