Insurers objected to a bill being considered by California lawmakers that would set a yearly out-of-pocket limit on the costs of prescription drugs for the insured. "Somehow the debate over drugs in this Legislature has focused exclusively on insurance coverage. If we want to have a real discussion about the high cost of drugs, then we think the makers of those drugs should be sitting here with us," said Nick Louizos of the California Association of Health Plans.
