Malaysian gaming giant, the Genting Group, has announced plans to build an Asian-themed resort on the Las Vegas Strip, which will become Resorts World Las Vegas. The $4 billion project will have multiple phases and the first one, which includes a gaming floor, hotel tower, retail village and a showroom is expected to start later this year. This phase alone will "result in 30,000 person years of employment and $1.5 billion in direct wages," writes David Phillips. Future plans include a convention center and water park.
