The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has given Ohio's Putnam County $100,000 toward the purchase of glass recycling collection items and transfer station upgrades to get a recycling program with Rumpke Recycling off the ground. The county estimates it will remove 155 tons of glass from the waste stream partially because it is removing the need for color separation. "We are trying to be good stewards of the environment," said Commissioner John Love.
