The ancient Greeks saw mastery of rhetoric as a fundamental part of being a leader. Aristotle wrote a treatise codifying the chief rhetorical techniques, and many of the methods he describes remain relevant, writes George Ambler. "Effective persuasion happens when you take time to the ensure you're credible, to using logic to change thinking and when you use emotion to move people to action," Ambler writes.
