Common Core State Standards are being incorporated into physical education classes at one Illinois school district. The teachers used a Dr. Seuss book in relay races for kindergartners and first-graders. Also, second-grade students took turns taking home a stuffed version of the school mascot to write about the exercises they did with it. "We're showing that through positive collaboration and communication, we can provide the total educational experience for students," said teacher Erin Sabyan.
