Seattle Chocolate introduced its Jcoco product line last year, a couture 3-ounce chocolate bar that retails for $8. The products, marketed towards women, feature flavor combinations like edamame sea salt, agave quinoa sesame and cayenne veracruz orange and are wrapped in packaging, featuring a different Getty image for each flavor, that opens like a clutch purse to reveal three individually wrapped 1-ounce chocolate bars. Revenue from the product, which are meant to be a special treat or gift, were less than $1 million in its first year, according to CEO Jean Thompson.
