A plan announced last week by Seattle Mayor Ed Murray would set the city's minimum wage workers on track to earn $18 an hour by 2025, with a jump to $15 an hour phased in over three to seven years, based on business size. The effort was supported by nearly all of the business and labor representatives involved in the Income Inequality Advisory Committee that fine-tuned the plan, which will go to the city council.
