Stephen Colbert's ascension to the Late Show sparked hand-wringing in conservative circles about the paucity of high-profile right-wing comedians. Part of the problem, writes Frank Rich, is that conservatives are less willing than liberals to mock themselves or to skewer their own side's excesses. "If Rupert Murdoch could find right-wing comics who are funny, you’d bet he’d make a home for them," Rich notes.
