Google's innovative technologies have typically been adopted first by consumers, followed by businesses. But Google Glass -- created by the company's Google X research unit -- seems to be getting stronger interest from manufacturers and hospitals, among other enterprise users, instead of the consumer market. The company has not indicated that it plans to shift from its usual approach, but it will soon have to decide "whether innovation follows from strategy, or whether it's sometimes [OK] for it to be the other way around," writes Walter Frick, associate editor for the Harvard Business Review.
