The next food revolution will involve reducing food waste and will include education for consumers about display dates, along with the Daily Table initiative to make use of foods that do not meet presentation criteria for supermarket sales, says Conscious Capitalism CEO and former Trader Joe's CEO Doug Rauch. "If we can recover just half of the food we are wasting ... we will have saved enough calories to produce 25% of all of the additional needs for 9 billion people," he said.
