Peace talks are underway that could bring peace to Colombia after decades of conflict. For these talks to be successful, negotiators must address the political and economic conditions that ignited the dispute, Teo Ballve, a doctoral candidate in geography at the University of California, Berkeley, writes in this opinion piece.
