Rite Aid plans to convert an additional 450 of its stores to its new Wellness concept by the end of 2015, as part of a greater focus on health and wellness. The stores include such features as a private pharmacy consulting room and a cafe and patio for light food service. The chain has already converted 1,300 of its 4,600 stores to the new format, and the company expects to continue expanding and honing front-end merchandise to reflect its new focus, Rite Aid President and Chief Operating Officer Ken Martindale said.
