Teachers can use skateboarding to engage students in lessons about physics, suggests educator and long-time skateboarder Bill Robertson. This approach is "action science," he writes in this blog post, and the concept helps students understand the value in what they are learning. "They become scientists riding around in a field laboratory, engaging in concepts in motion, forces, and simple machines," Robertson writes.
