Attorneys for the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana on Friday asked U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to issue a statement on the behalf of hundreds of Indiana same-sex couples who married before a federal appeals court stayed a ruling by a federal judge striking down the state's marriage equality ban. The general counsel to Gov. Mike Pence instructed agencies on Monday not to recognize the marriages.
