Cisco Systems says it has acquired Assemblage, a provider of cloud-based, real-time collaboration tools and infrastructure. The Assemblage team will become part of Cisco's Collaboration Technology Group. "Assemblage's experience integrating with third-party cloud ecosystem applications like Box and Google shows a close alignment to Cisco's collaboration strategy and our commitment to simplicity and interoperability," Cisco's Hilton Romanski wrote in a blog post.
